On April 1, 2005 the City of Muskogee began implementing its Storm Water Management Program – the result of a project which had been studied for several months.
Muskogee has joined a list of cities throughout the nation (including Tulsa and Broken Arrow) which have established these programs to help preserve a safe and healthy environment for generations of today and tomorrow. A new Storm Water Utility fee has been created to help pay the expenses involved in managing this program.
The $2.00 fee per month for City of Muskogee utility customers and others who have property within the city limits began in April 2005, and first appeared on utility bills in May. Included in this section of the City’s web site are links to information which explains the Storm Water management program and the fees.
