Les Gilliam "The Oklahoma Balladeer"

Les Gilliam is the official “Oklahoma Balladeer”. He is a singer, song- writer and recording artist currently based in Ponca City, Oklahoma and entertains as a solo act with his guitar, with his trio, or with his band, The Silver Lake Band. Les’ concerts of cowboy, western swing, country and gospel music include fascinating stories about the songs and the artists who performed them. His country dances feature great western swing music and fun activities for the audience. Waterloop Trail Run

The WaterLoop Trail Run in Muskogee''s scenic Honor Heights Park is the first trail run to be held in Muskogee Oklahoma. New hiking and running trails are being built by volunteers and old trails being cleared out to provide new hiking, trail running, and mountain biking opportunities for visitors to the park. The new event will feature a one mile fun run/walk, a 5k run, and a 10 k run all within the park. Water stations of various kinds are set up on the course for runners to cool off including the splash fountain, sprinklers, the Muskogee Fire Department''s water curtain, and various other planned surprise water features. Following the run organizers are hosting a public celebration featuring food and music.
