Water line break affecting Eastside water customers - COMPLETED 4:29PM

UPDATE 4:29PM 1/10/16:
The City of Muskogee Public Works Department and Cook Construction said its crews have completed repairs to a 24" water leak at the dead end of Doering Lane Northeast of Muskogee by installing a new section of pipe.  The system has been restarted and normal system pumping capacity has resumed to those areas impacted.

UPDATE 1:18PM 1/10/16:
The City of Muskogee Public Works Department and Cook Construction continue to make progress repairing a 24" water leak located at the dead end of Doering Lane Northeast of Muskogee.
 
Crews are currently replacing approximately 8-10' of pipe.  If additional problems are not encountered, their plans are to begin slowly loading the line in about two hours and back to full pressure by 5 p.m. Until the line has been completely charged, customers West of the repair site to North York Street (Highway 16) and South to Shawnee Street, including East along Harris Road,  may potentially be impacted with low water pressure or no water.  
 
The public will be notified immediately if additional information is obtained.

UPDATE 11:58AM 1/10/16:
The City of Muskogee Public Works Department and Cook Construction have made significant progress overnight and this morning to repair a 24" water leak located at the dead end of Doering Lane Northeast of Muskogee.
 
If crews don't encounter any additional problems, repairs to the line are expected to be completed this evening and normal system pumping capacity will resume.  Until the line has been charged, customers West of the repair site to North York Street (Highway 16) and South to Shawnee Street, including East along Harris Road,  may potentially be impacted with low water pressure or no water.

The City of Muskogee Public Works Department is working with Cook Construction to repair a 24" water line break located at the dead end of Doering Lane Northeast of Muskogee.
 
Crews are currently working to excavate around the 24" water line to determine the issue and repair the line.  They have encountered problems locating some of the valves to have a good shutdown.  Customers West of the repair site to North York Street (Highway 16) and South to Shawnee Street, including East along Harris Road,  may potentially be impacted with low water pressure or no water until the leak is repaired.  The extent of the damage is still unknown and estimated time for repairs has yet to be determined.
